Aisha is a little girl who lives in the Al-Andalus kingdom where, during the XI century, firework displays are the most popular, public spectacles. Aisha’s dream is to become a pyrotechnic artist, but her father, Ahmad, is opposed to the idea. He wants his daughter to carry on the family profession of calligraphy.
Txawir, an adventurous scientist, arrives in the city and offers Aisha the chance to build the rocket of her dreams. She just has to do one thing in return: give him access to a legendary and dangerous book that her father is guardian of at the palace library and which no one is able to look at without the express permission of the caliph. Txawir takes advantage of the situation to pocket the book and disappear. Ahmad is accused of the theft and jailed, by order of Muhtadi, the young caliph’s uncle and the man in charge of carrying out justice. Aisha flees the city and sets out on a journey to recover the book, bring it back and save her father.
Thanks to the experience she acquires along the difficulty journey and the trust she establishes with the people she meets on her adventure, Aisha will be able to be reunited with her father, who finally agrees to let her go and explore her passion and become the master of light she has always dreamed of being.
