AMIRA'S LAND

Justino is a widower who lives isolated from the rest of the world on a large, solitary estate, where he grows a few vegetables. Amira is one of the many undocumented seasonal workers who travel from Morocco to Spain in search of a better future. One night, as Justino drives down to the town to sell his tomatoes, he accidentally runs her over. Even though she’s not seriously hurt, the accident leaves her unable to work and so Justino, somewhat obliged by his sister Araceli, offers her his home until she’s better. With no other choice,
Amira accepts. What will happen when these two people, so different in age, sex, culture and religion, find themselves living under the same roof together?
